Sound Healing

A sonic journey through ancestral instruments!

There are trips that are made outwards,

But the best journeys are inward…

This experience takes place inside the cave, which contains saltwater heated to over 36°C. The sea salt and hot water provide the benefits of thalassotherapy: they promote muscle relaxation, stimulate circulation, and allow the body to enter a state of deep rest. Experience a sound journey with ancient instruments! Through instruments such as the didgeridoo—one of the oldest in history—binaural flutes, drums, bowls, and sea shells, among others, from the ancestral lineage, a vibrational bath is generated that passes through the body and calms the mind, giving way to a deeply immersive sound meditation that promotes the regulation of the nervous system and overall well-being, becoming an experience of balance and inner reconnection.

Therapy led by Luis Méndez

A performer with 32 years of experience and an independent researcher in ethnomusicology, specializing in Mayan trumpets and the Australian didgeridoo. His career as a performer encompasses cultural, academic, and holistic presentations in schools, universities, archaeological sites, festivals, and wellness centers in various countries, primarily Mexico, as well as France, Spain, Italy, Ecuador, and the United States.

Luis is also a builder of ancestral instruments: teponaztli, huehuetl, trumpets, didgeridoos, and various wind instruments made of clay. His deep connection to these sounds has allowed him to personally experience their therapeutic power, guiding his music toward a healing and wellness approach with remarkable results.

Performer and researcher in ethnomusicology...

He has been invited to participate in research projects in the field of otolaryngology, where the use of the didgeridoo has been explored as a support and alternative treatment for conditions such as sleep apnea and snoring. He currently collaborates with the Reid Foundation in the United States, supporting recovery processes and addiction treatment.

His therapeutic path has been enriched by sharing his music with traditional cultures: Australian Aboriginal, Maori, African, Hindu, Lacandon, Otomi, and Chinese, strengthening a vision where sound is deeply connected to nature and the earth. A multi-instrumentalist, Luis has developed the ability to play up to five instruments simultaneously, the result of years of practice and a constant search for new frequencies.

Among his most memorable moments, he had the honor of participating in lectures by researcher Masaru Emoto in Mexico, concluding with guided meditations using ancestral instruments. She has also collaborated with holistic therapists and has accompanied special yoga sessions with world renowned teachers, such as Ana Forrest, among others.
